Electrical Services Surveyor

Electrical Services Surveyor – St Albans – £24.00 per hour (Umbrella) A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Electrical Services Surveyor/Inspector to support the delivery and maintenance of electrical services across its housing portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Deliver and manage cyclical electrical testing programmes, including remedial works Oversee day-to-day electrical repairs and maintenance Manage contracts covering fire detection systems, door entry, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installations Undertake inspections and surveys of electrical installations within council properties Provide technical advice to officers, residents and stakeholders on current legislation and best practice Support the planning, management and performance of M&E service contracts About You: Strong experience in electrical surveying/inspection within housing or public sector environments Sound knowledge of current electrical and fire safety regulations Experience managing JCT contracts from inception through to completion Ability to act as Contract Administrator and manage external contractors Understanding of risk-based approaches to health and safety in residential properties Relevant electrical qualification (essential)
