Electrical Shift Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: £34,000 + 22% Shift Allowance (£7,480) = £41,480 Total Package Shift Pattern: 2 Days (7am–7pm), 2 Nights (7pm–7am), 4 Days Off Hours: 39.375 hours per week An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join a large acute hospital site in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a static role within a critical healthcare environment, working as part of a shift team to ensure the safe and compliant operation of all electrical systems across the facility. Key Responsibilities: • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works. • Maintaining all services in line with contract KPIs and compliance standards. • Interpreting and working from drawings, specifications and technical instructions independently. • Setting up and completing new electrical works using appropriate tools and equipment. • Working safely at height (tower scaffolds, MEWPs, ladders) and within confined spaces (after training). • Reporting defects, faults and unusual findings to the Supervisor. • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety and site procedures.
