Electrical Technician

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a well-established engineering organisation. This is a hands-on role supporting the testing, repair, and commissioning of a broad range of electrical products, both in-house and on customer sites. Working closely with the engineering and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet required quality, safety, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities Assist with fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of electrical equipment Support on-site testing and commissioning activities when required Carry out in-house testing of power distribution, marshalling enclosures, and control panels Test and inspect LV cabinets and associated control devices Support protection modifications and electrical upgrades Ensure all work is completed in line with current electrical regulations and Health & Safety standards Accurately complete test documentation and reports Knowledge & Experience Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience within an electrical engineering environment Experience supporting testing and commissioning activities, ideally including transformers Relevant electrical qualifications Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings Sound understanding of electrical regulations and safe working practices Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach Good written and verbal communication skills Flexible and team-oriented, with the ability to support other departments when required This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Electrical Technician seeking a varied role within a collaborative and quality-driven engineering environment
