Job Purpose

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join a busy property services team delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance and installation work across a diverse domestic housing portfolio. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical works safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, inspection, and installation work in domestic properties.

* Complete electrical condition reports, periodic inspections, and certification in line with current regulations.

* Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works across a range of domestic electrical systems and installations.

* Ensure all work complies with current legislation, industry standards, and safe working practices, including the Electricity at Work Regulations.

* Carry out full or partial rewires, upgrades, and new installations where required.

* Test and verify completed works to ensure safety, integrity, and compliance.

* Maintain accurate documentation, including certificates and job records, using handheld/mobile systems.

* Work efficiently to complete jobs within agreed timescales, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.

* Liaise professionally with customers, ensuring a high standard of customer care and service delivery.

* Safeguard customer property, ensuring work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy upon completion.

* Take responsibility for company vehicle, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are maintained and used correctly.

* Support and mentor apprentices where required, contributing to their development.

* Participate in training and ongoing professional development to maintain qualifications and competency.

General Duties

* Work independently or as part of a team to deliver an effective repairs and maintenance service.

* Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.

* Identify materials required for works and ensure efficient use of stock and resources.

* Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.

* Support service improvements and contribute ideas to increase efficiency and quality.

* Be flexible to support service demands, including occasional extended working arrangements when required.

* Promote equality, diversity, safeguarding, and customer-focused service delivery at all times.

Essential Experience

-Repairs and maintenance

-Refurbishment and modernisation

-New installations

-Domestic fault finding

Qualifications

-Time-served apprenticeship (City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent)

-NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent

-AM2 qualification

-18th Edition Wiring Regulations

-Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

-City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)

-PAT testing qualification
