Pay: £13.50 per hour Job Description: Electro-Mechanical Assembler About the Company Devlin Electronics is a custom electronics manufacturer, designing and producing bespoke electro-mechanical input devices for a variety of sectors. Based in Basingstoke, Devlin has been established for over 40 years and provides tailored solutions through our extensive engineering expertise and cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities. About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler who will be able to read drawings and has a good eye for detail. The person must have good communication skills, and able to work as part of a small team or independently. A commitment to quality and safety, and happy to train and learn new skills. This role might also involve moving to different departments and helping as required. Key Responsibilities: • You will be responsible and accountable for the manufacture of electro-mechanical assemblies. • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to assist with building and fault finding across the product range. • Previous experience working on electro-mechanical assemblies, down to a component level. • To maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines. • To act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times. • To keep good time management to minimise any wasted time and maximise productivity and effectiveness. • To use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in day-to-day activities and procedures within the specified role. • To carry out any other duties as detailed by your Supervisor or Manager from time to time. Required Skills: • Ability to interpret electro-mechanical drawings. • Proven knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering practices. • Should have an understanding of electronic manufacturing practices, such as IPC or equivalent.
