ELSA Tutor
Do you have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs to reach their full potential? We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Tutor to join our team.
About the Role
You’ll be working with students aged EYFS through to Post-16, supporting a wide range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning differences.
Tutors will be responsible for planning, assessing, and delivering a personalised scheme of work tailored to each learner’s individual needs. The primary focus will be on Maths and English, helping students build confidence, independence, and key academic skills.
Sessions are delivered 1:1 or in small groups, in schools, community settings, or the learner’s home.
Requirements
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a minimum of 3 years’ tutoring experience
• Experience with SEND and strong knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies
• ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) experience is highly desirable
• Ability to plan engaging, personalised lessons for individual learners
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
