Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist

Location: London - Fully remote with occasional travel to St Albans / Epsom

Duration: 12 months

Rate: £650 per day via umbrella company

We are currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join a busy and collaborative HR function. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong ER knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a varied and complex caseload.

The successful candidate will support managers and HR teams across a broad range of employee relations matters, whilst providing practical and commercially focused advice.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a varied ER caseload including grievances, disciplinaries, performance and capability matters, absence management, wellbeing cases and contractual queries
Providing expert ER guidance and support to managers and HR stakeholders
Coaching and influencing stakeholders to achieve fair and commercially focused outcomes
Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, internal policies and procedures
Supporting organisational change initiatives and employee consultation processes
Building strong working relationships across the business to promote positive employee relations
Supporting ER projects, knowledge sharing initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Interpreting legislation updates and translating them into practical business guidance
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring matters are managed in line with best practice and agreed timelines

Skills & Experience Required

Strong Employee Relations and employment law knowledge gained within HR, ER or a related advisory role
Experience managing complex and sensitive people matters
Ability to influence and coach managers through difficult conversations
Commercially focused with strong judgement and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
Collaborative team player with the confidence to seek support where required
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
