Employment Advisor – IPS Employability Programme Location: Blackpool Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 Contract: Full-time | Permanent Are you passionate about employability, welfare-to-work, and supporting people into meaningful employment? The Role As an Employment Advisor / IPS Employment Specialist, you will support individuals with health support needs who are motivated to find or return to work. You will manage a caseload of up to 25 participants, delivering Individual Placement and Support (IPS) within Primary Care Networks and wider health services, helping individuals progress into sustainable employment. Key responsibilities include: * Meeting clients 1:1 to understand their skills, strengths, and employment goals * Using vocational profiling and personalised action plans to support job outcomes * Delivering job search support, including CV writing, applications, interview preparation, and disclosure guidance * Identifying suitable job opportunities through local labour market knowledge and employer engagement * Accessing the hidden labour market to identify new employment opportunities * Building and maintaining strong relationships with local employers * Supporting employers with reasonable adjustments, retention strategies, and return-to-work plans * Providing in-work support to help clients sustain employment * Attending multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings with health professionals to promote the service and generate referrals * Maintaining accurate case management records and performance tracking * Delivering support in line with IPS fidelity standards and employability best practice This role combines employability coaching, welfare-to-work support, employer engagement, and health-focused employment services.
