Engineering Inspector
Engineering Inspector Location: Medstead, Alton Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Engineering Inspector on behalf of our client based in Medstead, Alton. Main Purpose of the Role To inspect, monitor and ensure that products conform to customer-defined specifications and engineering drawing requirements, maintaining the high standards expected within the aerospace industry. Roles & Responsibilities * Inspection of aircraft components, ground support equipment and raw materials * Undertake first-off and final inspection of machined parts and assemblies * Perform-in-process quality inspections and maintain accurate inspection records * Produce and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) * Complete supplier components inspections and FAI buy-off * Identify and report non-conformances and support resolutions activities * Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues * Engage with customers and supplier quality representatives where required Additional Responsibilities * Participate in audits, quality system reviews and customer inspections * Ensure all inspections equipment is calibrated and arrange re-calibration when required Experience, Skills & Qualifications * Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Inspector role * Strong knowledge of AS9100 & AS9102 standards * Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T * Understanding of machining and assembly techniques * Good communication skills, both written and verbal * willingness to travel within the UK if required Working Pattern & Benefits * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30-17:00 (30-minute lunch break) * Benefits: * Opportunity to work within a high-quality aerospace environment. * Stable, full-time role within an established business. * Salary: £35,000-£38,000 Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance and IT.
