Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership, governance, and airworthiness assurance within a regulated electronic component MRO&U environment supporting military systems.

You will act as the engineering authority for approvals, repair schemes, and capability development, ensuring compliance with MAOS, MIL Part 145, AS9100/AS9110, and ISO 9001 standards.

The role leads through three Section Managers covering Development, Product Support & Obsolescence, and Additive Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

* Engineering authority for airworthiness and regulatory compliance

* Approval of engineering reports, repair schemes, and technical data

* Governance of MAOS, MIL Part 145, AS9100/9110, and ISO 9001

* Leadership of three Section Managers and engineering teams

* Oversight of repair development, obsolescence, and capability upgrades

* Management of KPIs, audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement

* Support for failure analysis, lifecycle management, and customer needs

* Introduction of Additive Manufacturing within compliant frameworks

Essential Requirements

* Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering (or similar)

* Strong experience in defence, avionics, or electronic MRO&U

* Knowledge of MIL Part 145, AS9100/AS9110, ISO 9001

* Engineering governance experience in airworthiness environments

* Experience managing teams via section/functional managers

* Ability to approve engineering data and repair solutions

* Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and QMS

Desirable

* Avionics or defence background

* Additive Manufacturing experience

* Obsolescence management experience
