The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering Functional Skills English, supporting learners from a range of backgrounds to build confidence and achieve their qualifications.
Deliver engaging Functional Skills English lessons across a range of levels
Support learners with reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
Plan and deliver inclusive, learner-focused sessions
Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Prepare learners for assessments and progression opportunities
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience teaching English / Functional Skills English
Strong subject knowledge in English and literacy
Ability to support diverse learners and varying ability levels
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
Experience within Further Education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
