TP Tutors is seeking a dedicated Secondary English Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils in Gateshead (NE8). This is a rewarding opportunity to support secondary-aged students who need additional guidance in English, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, and analytical skills while building confidence in their learning. ✨ What You’ll Be Doing Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 English lessons to secondary school pupils Support students with literacy, comprehension, essay writing, and exam preparation Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities Plan structured sessions that support GCSE English progress Track pupil progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Build confidence and encourage a positive attitude towards learning What We’re Looking For Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged pupils (KS3/KS4) Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE requirements Ability to adapt teaching methods to support different learning needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young people Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer Competitive hourly rates from £25+ Flexible hours Monday–Friday during school hours Approximately 13 weeks off per year Dedicated consultant support throughout your placements Access to our CPD Academy for professional development Local work in Gateshead (NE8) Apply today and help students build confidence and achieve success in English.
