About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Guildford. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering a love of literature, language, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Contribute to the development of the English department
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and parents’ evenings
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in English or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
