E&P Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Rail E&P Project Manager to join a well-established rail infrastructure organisation based in York. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of major rail systems projects across the UK within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

The successful applicant will oversee projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. You will work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams covering design, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead rail E&P projects from initial planning through to final completion

Track project schedules, budgets, resources, and associated risks

Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

Ensure all activities comply with Network Rail standards and wider rail industry regulations

Prepare and deliver regular project progress reports and updates

Assist with planning, commercial, and operational project requirements

Requirements

Previous experience managing rail projects within the UK rail sector
Strong knowledge of signalling systems, project delivery processes, and rail safety standards
Experience working alongside Network Rail and principal contractors
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities
Power and Distribution experience essential
