Data Centre Estimator 📍 Florida (Office-Based / Hybrid) 🏗 Large MEP Contractor 💰 Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits The Company Our client is a large, Florida-based Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering complex mission-critical and data centre projects across the United States. With a strong reputation for technical excellence, safety, and project execution, they partner with leading hyperscale and colocation clients on high-value builds. Due to continued growth in their Mission Critical division, they are seeking an experienced Data Centre Estimator to join their preconstruction team. The Role The Data Centre Estimator will play a key role in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for large-scale MEP packages on hyperscale and colocation data centre projects. You will work closely with preconstruction, engineering, and operations teams to develop competitive and technically robust bid submissions. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and/or electrical packages on data centre projects Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope requirements Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations Develop conceptual and GMP estimates at various design stages Identify value engineering opportunities and risk exposure Participate in bid strategy and client presentations where required Maintain cost databases and benchmarking data for mission critical projects Collaborate with project managers during handover from preconstruction to operations Candidate Profile 5+ years' experience in MEP estimating Demonstrated experience pricing large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, piping) and/or electrical systems (power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators) Proficient in estimating software and advanced Excel Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications Strong commercial awareness and risk assessment capability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable Experience Experience working with hyperscale or colocation data centre clients Exposure to design-build delivery models Experience in projects valued $20M+ MEP scope Knowledge of Florida construction market and supply chain Why Apply?
