Estimator – Fabrication / Pressure Vessels Location: Bolton Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 5:15pm (4-day working week) We are currently seeking an Estimator to join a well-established engineering and fabrication business following the planned retirement of a long-standing team member. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist company operating across multiple heavy industry sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing client requirements and producing accurate quotations for fabrication and engineering projects. Key Responsibilities * Analyse and interpret detailed client requests, technical drawings, and specifications (primarily pressure vessels). * Identify value-engineered solutions to meet project requirements. * Develop accurate and timely cost estimates and produce clear, detailed quotations. * Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and their representatives where required. * Manage workloads effectively and work calmly under deadline pressures. * Assist with project management of awarded jobs. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients. * Identify opportunities to develop new customer relationships and business opportunities. Preferred Experience & Qualifications * Background in fabrication trades or project engineering. * Knowledge of the manufacture of: * Structural steelwork * Piping systems * Pressure vessels * Experience within industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, or construction. * Mechanical Engineering Degree / HNC / HND (preferred but not essential). * Strong technical understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and site services. * A motivated individual with a drive to learn and progress within the role.
