Estimator – Groundworks Portsmouth, Hampshire Salary up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension Blaymires Recruitment is working with a specialist Civil Engineering contractor based in Portsmouth who is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. The company operates as both a principal and specialist contractor, delivering a wide range of Civil Engineering and Groundworks projects across the commercial and residential sectors, with project values typically up to £3 million. Typical projects include: Groundworks, Pile Foundations, Reinforced Concrete, Brick and Block Works, Diamond Drilling, Car Parks. Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a skilled Estimator. Applications are welcomed from both Estimators and Estimator / Quantity Surveyors with a strong Groundworks or Civil Engineering background. Key Responsibilities * Producing and completing tenders, primarily within the residential sector * Forecasting costs for plant, labour, and materials * Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates * Attending pre-tender and client meetings * Supporting and mentoring junior team members * Working closely with the Estimating Director * Assisting with the development of new and existing client relationships Experience Required * Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Groundworks Estimator within a contractor environment * Strong background in pricing Groundworks or Civil Engineering projects * Experience working on projects up to £5 million * Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) * Educated to HNC level or equivalent * Strong IT and analytical skills On Offer * Competitive salary up to £75,000 * Car Allowance * Pension Scheme * 25 Days Holiday * Professional and supportive working environment * Ongoing training and development * Genuine career progression opportunities * Free parking For further information, please contact Steve at Blaymires Recruitment
