Estimator – Refurbishment Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Salary: Up to £75,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Free Parking Blaymires Recruitment is working with a well-established commercial refurbishment contractor based in Portsmouth that is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its growing team. Operating as a principal contractor, the company delivers a wide range of commercial refurbishment projects across sectors including education, healthcare, local authority, defence, hospitality, and retail. Project values typically range from £100K to £4M. With over 15 years of successful trading and a strong pipeline of work, this is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator seeking long-term career development within a stable and expanding business. The company is open to considering candidates with refurbishment, fit-out, or surveying backgrounds. Estimator Responsibilities • Pricing projects from bills of quantities, specifications, and drawings • Producing detailed take-offs from drawings • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations • Identifying labour, material, and programme requirements • Attending internal tender review meetings with senior management • Preparing and presenting accurate and commercially sound estimates • Producing cost analysis and tender reports • Maintaining and updating the cost database Estimator Requirements • Refurbishment or fit-out project experience • Ability to tender projects both independently and within a team • Experience using estimating software (Conquest preferred but not essential) • Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, and internal teams • Commercially aware with strong attention to detail On Offer • Salary up to £75,000 • £5,000 Car Allowance • 25 Days Holiday • Pension Scheme • Professional and supportive working environment • Ongoing training and development • Genuine career progression opportunities • Free Parking For further information, please contact Steve at Blaymires Recruitment
