Estimator / Senior Estimator Location: Essex / London Sector: Super Prime Residential & Luxury Hospitality Salary: Competitive + Comprehensive Package The Company Our client is a leading Super Prime Main Contractor delivering some of London’s most prestigious residential and hospitality developments. With an annual turnover approaching £100M, they specialise in ultra-high-end refurbishments, bespoke new builds, and luxury fit-outs across Prime and Super Prime London postcodes. Their portfolio includes exceptional private residences, boutique hotels, and landmark developments finished to the highest specification. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their commercial team. The Role The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive, and commercially robust tenders across high-value luxury projects. This position requires a meticulous and commercially astute individual with a strong understanding of complex high-end construction. Depending on experience, the role can be offered at Estimator or Senior Estimator level. Key Responsibilities * Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for super prime residential and hospitality projects * Analysing drawings, specifications, and related documentation to prepare accurate take-offs * Managing the full tender process from initial enquiry through to submission * Producing bills of quantities where required * Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations * Attending site visits, pre-tender meetings, and client interviews * Identifying value engineering opportunities while maintaining design integrity * Risk analysis and allowance assessment * Liaising closely with Commercial, Pre-Construction, and Operational teams * Supporting post-tender negotiations and contract award processes * Maintaining and developing strong relationships with key supply chain partners Candidate Requirements * Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within a main contractor environment * Experience working on luxury / super prime residential or high-end hospitality developments is highly desirable * Strong knowledge of construction methods, high-end finishes, and bespoke detailing * Experience pricing projects in London * Commercially astute with excellent numerical and analytical skills * Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to deadlines * Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) preferred What’s on Offer * Competitive salary (DOE) * Discretionary performance bonus * Private healthcare * Pension scheme * Opportunity to work on some of London’s most prestigious super prime developments * Long-term career progression within a financially strong and growing contractor
