We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Blackburn. This is a full-time position, starting after the May half term.

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £14.30 per hour
Start Date: After May half term
About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, with a strong focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role may involve working 1:1 or with small groups, helping students access learning and develop socially and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support for pupils with ASD in the classroom
Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver individual education plans (IEPs)
Implement strategies to support communication, behaviour, and sensory needs
Encourage engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
Offer emotional and social support throughout the school day
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (essential)
Proven experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
A patient, understanding, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of ASD strategies and interventions (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
