EYFS Teaching Assistant
Pay: £110-£120 per day

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary with potential to become permanent
Long Term Futures is recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming Early Years setting in the DE22 area of Derby for an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment during the earliest stages of their education.
You will be involved across all aspects of the nursery day, from supporting learning through play and continuous provision to observations, routines, mealtimes and personal care.
About the Role
As an EYFS Nursery Practitioner, you will:
Support children across a busy and engaging Early Years environment
Plan and deliver creative, play-based activities in line with the EYFS Framework
Encourage children's communication, language, social and emotional development
Support early literacy, numeracy and school-readiness skills
Set up and maintain engaging continuous provision, small-world and sensory activities
Complete observations and contribute towards monitoring children's development
Provide additional support for children with SEND where required
Build positive relationships with children, parents and the wider Early Years team
Support daily routines including snacks, mealtimes, toileting and nappy changing/personal care
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and wellbeing throughout the setting
Ideal Candidate Profile
Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred
Previous experience within a Nursery, EYFS or Early Years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
Confident supporting children with personal care, including nappy changing
Comfortable completing observations and contributing towards children's learning and development
SEND experience would be advantageous
Warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
Creative and confident setting up engaging learning opportunities
Reliable and committed to a long-term position
Able to commute reliably to Derby, DE22
