EYFS/KS1 SEND Primary Teaching Assistant

Trust Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Barnsley that is looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS/KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. EYFS/KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND across EYFS and Key Stage 1.

* Support children with their academic, social and emotional development.

* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored learning activities and interventions.

* Foster a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can flourish.

* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

* Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and SEND policies at all times.

* Show initiative while working collaboratively as part of the wider school team.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a UK primary school, particularly in EYFS or KS1.

* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential with suitable experience.

* A patient, caring and proactive approach with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

* Good communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual learning requirements.

* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
