The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer/ Maintenance Assistant to join a well-established property team supporting a prestigious portfolio in the Brompton Road area of Central London.

This is primarily a foot mobile role covering multiple nearby properties, carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. While the role is largely site-based within walking distance of the portfolio, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to use a pool vehicle when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual with experience in general building maintenance, carpentry, decorating and basic plumbing, looking to join a stable organisation offering an attractive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out general property maintenance and repairs across the portfolio

* Carpentry repairs including doors, frames, windows and locking systems

* Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance

* Tiling, decorating and minor plastering works

* Installation and repair of gutters and drainage systems

* Construction of minor timber structures such as sheds, crates and kennels

* Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers

* Support colleagues and provide cover during periods of absence

* Participate in shift patterns and on-call arrangements when required

* Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

* Liaise with colleagues, supervisors and management teams

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations

* Complete any additional maintenance duties as required

Requirements

* Proven experience within a maintenance, handyman or property maintenance role

* Good all-round building maintenance skills

* Experience with carpentry, decorating, tiling and basic plumbing

* Ability to use hand tools confidently and safely

* Good understanding of Health & Safety practices

* Knowledge of current Building Regulations

* Strong communication skills and professional attitude

* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
