Fabricator / Welder
Location: Bathgate (EH48 2FU)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 06:00 – 13.00
Rate: From basic £17.00 per hour + overtime rate from £25.50 per hour
Reports to: Engineering Plant Manager
The Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our client's main metal fabrication facility in Bathgate. The successful candidate will work closely with one of our most experienced Fabricator/Welders, who is due to retire this year, providing a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of specialist processes and play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of workmanship.
You will be involved in the fabrication and welding of anti-vandal cabins, internal and external staircases, ramps, and associated steel structures used within our modular buildings.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication and MIG welding of steel components in various positions
* Manufacture of staircases, ramps, and structural steelwork
* Working from engineering drawings and specifications
* Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety
* Supporting production targets in a fast-paced environment
About You
* Time-served Fabricator/Welder with extensive experience in steel fabrication
* Fully competent in MIG welding
* Experience working with structural steelwork (e.g. stairs, ramps)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Flexible approach to overtime when required
