Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Compliance

Maintained health and safety compliance and promoted a safety-first culture.
Identified, reported, and escalated safety risks and incidents.
Supported internal and external audits and compliance activities.Maintenance & Operations

Performed planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment.
Maintained spare parts inventory and updated maintenance records.
Supported equipment installations, commissioning, and engineering projects.
Coordinated with external contractors and assisted with site audits.
Carried out equipment repairs and general site maintenance.Continuous Improvement & Teamwork

Identified and implemented process improvements.
Ensured adherence to site standards, policies, and procedures.
Supported training and development requirements.
Built effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
Promoted a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and compliance.

Profile

Skills & Experience

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of machinery guarding and safe working practices.
Familiarity with preventative maintenance and basic engineering principles.
Experience or awareness of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement techniques.
Basic building and facilities maintenance knowledge.
Ability to work safely at height and within confined spaces.
Fabrication and welding skills desirable.
HACCP Level 2 and Engineering Operations Level 2 (or equivalent) desirable.
Eager to learn new engineering skills and support maintenance activities.
Committed to completing a structured engineering development programme with progression opportunities.
Ability to commute to Goole.Job Offer

Hourly rate between £15.00 and £19.00, dependent on the level of experience.
Temporary position based in Goole.
35 hours per week - 7-3 / 8-4 with 1 hour unpaid lunch.
