Facilities Manager
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support a busy local authority on an interim basis. This is a hands-on role overseeing the effective operation, maintenance/repairs, and compliance of a diverse property portfolio including offices, community buildings, industrial units and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day facilities operations across multiple sites
* Ensure statutory compliance (H&S, fire safety, building regulations)
* Oversee contractors, maintenance schedules, and service delivery and repairs
* Support budget management and cost control
* Respond to urgent issues and ensure minimal disruption to services
Requirements:
* Proven experience in facilities or estates management, ideally within a council setting
* Strong knowledge of compliance and health & safety regulations
* Excellent contractor and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* IWFM and NEBOSH/IOSH
