Looking for a role where you can take the lead, make a real impact, and help shape a growing Family Law department?

Our client is seeking an experienced Family/Children Law Solicitor (Supervisor) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional with panel membership to step into a leadership role, combining high-quality casework with team supervision and departmental management.

This is a senior position within a busy and respected practice, where you'll be responsible for both managing your own caseload and overseeing the wider Family Law team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Acting as Supervisor within the Family department, ensuring compliance with LAA requirements

- Managing a varied caseload including both private and publicly funded matters, including complex and High Court cases

- Overseeing and supporting solicitors, caseworkers, trainees and paralegals

- Conducting regular file reviews and maintaining quality and compliance standards

- Handling legal aid matters, including billing, cost limitations, and extension applications

- Preparing cases, instructing counsel, and attending hearings and conferences

- Ensuring excellent client care and maintaining clear, consistent communication

- Supporting the ongoing development of internal processes, precedents, and documentation

- Keeping up to date with legal developments, legislation, and policy changes

- Delivering training and mentoring to junior team members

- Assisting with business development, marketing, and maintaining strong external relationships

You'll also play a key role in contributing to the firm's wider business plan and strategic growth.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Family Law Panel Membership, Children Law Panel Membership, or Resolution Accreditation (essential)

- Strong experience (ideally minimum 4 years PQE) across a broad range of family law matters, including legal aid work

- Proven ability to manage and supervise a team

- Confidence managing a busy and complex caseload independently

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong client care skills and a professional, approachable manner

- Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems

- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to the wider success of the firm

This is a great opportunity to join a firm where you'll have real influence - not just over your own caseload, but across the department as a whole. Our client is committed to delivering high-quality legal services while fostering a supportive, team-oriented culture.

If you're looking for a step up into a supervisory role, or already operating at this level and seeking a fresh challenge, this role offers the platform to progress your career further
