Field Operations Manager - Remote About the Role We are looking for an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead and grow a high-performing field team responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and assurance of high- and low-voltage electricity networks. This is an opportunity to build and shape your own team, working with modern assets across a dynamic operational footprint. You will play a critical role in both the construction and operational phases, ensuring assets are built to approved designs, meet statutory requirements, and are maintained to the highest standards. This is a hands-on, client-facing position where you will represent the business on-site, mentor your team, and help shape long-term operational strategy. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow a field team in line with network expansion Manage operational maintenance, reactive fault response, inspections, and assurance audits Oversee commissioning assurance during EHV substation construction pre-adoption Maintain substation compliance documentation, strategic spares, and operational readiness Deliver ESQCR inspections, condition monitoring, oil sampling, asset checks, and maintenance under outage conditions Ensure all networks conform to design standards and relevant legislation prior to adoption Manage contracted frameworks and service delivery, maintaining agreed service levels Support design teams to capture operational requirements during the design phase Act as the front face of the business with customers on-site and at client locations Develop, mentor, and performance-manage direct reports to strengthen capability and resilience About You Strong technical knowledge of HV/EHV distribution networks and related legislation Experience in site operations, maintenance, and assurance of electrical networks Previous authorisation under DSRs or SAP (>11kV) highly favourable Formal H&S qualification (IOSH or equivalent) and engineering qualification (HNC/HND or FD Eng.) Proven experience managing remote-based operational teams Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Safety Rules, and related documentation Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels Proficient in Microsoft 365, project management, auditing, and EAM systems Full UK driving licence Permanent | Home-Based (UK) | Travel to Sites as Required Salary: £70,000–£75,000 + Car Allowance VIQU Energy Get in touch with VIQU Energy for a private discussion about this role.
