We're recruiting for a Field Service Electrical Engineer to join a growing organisation specialising in Southampton, covering the south of England

Salary is c£40-45,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, overtime, company vehicle,company bonus etc.

About the Field Service Electrical Engineer role

As a Field Service Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Working independently across customer sites, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable engineering support and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine electrical maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs.

*

Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and annual servicing on mobile medical units.

*

Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.

*

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.

*

Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.

*

Assist with installations, commissioning and repair work where necessary.

*

Maintain company tools, testing equipment and service vehicle.

*

Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

Person specification:

We're looking for an engineer with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach who enjoys working independently in a field-based environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience in electrical maintenance, servicing and fault finding.

*

Experience carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

*

Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, controls and low-voltage wiring.

*

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation. 2391

*

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

*

Good understanding of electrical testing procedures and safe isolation practices.

*

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

Willingness to travel throughout the South of England.

Desirable

*

Previous field service or mobile engineer experience.
