Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes are working with a well-established engineering services provider supporting the recycling and waste sector across the UK. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to bring in a skilled electrical engineer to join their service team.
The Role
This is a hands-on, field-based position where you’ll be responsible for installation, maintenance, and fault finding on a wide range of industrial equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Electrical fault finding on control panels, drives, inverters, and 3-phase motors
* Installation and commissioning of plant equipment
* Servicing and maintenance of conveyor systems, baling equipment, sorting machinery, and similar waste equipment
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Managing your own workload and daily schedule
* Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team
* Occasional overnight stays
What We’re Looking For
* Electrical engineering background within manufacturing, industrial, or heavy engineering environments
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Level 3 qualification or above (Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC, or equivalent)
* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial
* Experience in recycling or waste equipment is advantageous (not essential)
* Full UK driving licence
Benefits:
* Up to £44,000
* OTE: £55,000 – £65,000+ (top performers significantly higher)
* Overtime paid at time and a half (Mon–Sat) and double time on Sundays
* Company van (with some personal use)
* Monday–Friday working hours (40-hour week)
* 22 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)
* Pension and standard sick pay
