Field Service Engineer

Role: Field Service Engineer (Agricultural Machinery / Crop Sprayers) Location: Field-Based Role – covering East of England (Norfolk to North Yorks) Salary: Competitive basic Are you a hands‑on engineer who loves solving problems, working outdoors, and supporting farmers with industry‑leading machinery? We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our clients engineering team, specialising in the service, repair and support of crop sprayers and agricultural equipment. What You’ll Be Doing * Servicing, diagnosing and repairing agricultural machinery, with a focus on crop sprayers. * Providing on‑farm support, including routine maintenance and emergency breakdowns. * Offering remote technical assistance and telephone troubleshooting to customers. * Working independently while being part of a supportive, experienced engineering team. * Taking part in a seasonal call‑out rota (shared across six engineers). * Completing service reports and maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship. What We’re Looking For * Strong communication skills and a flexible, positive approach. * Good technical understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems; CAN‑BUS experience beneficial (training provided). * Basic knowledge of hydrostatic drives and diesel engines. * Agricultural machinery experience or crop sprayer knowledge is desirable, but full training will be given. * Confident speaking with customers and guiding them through issues over the phone. * Self‑motivated, safety‑conscious, and able to work independently. * Welding/fabrication experience is a bonus. * Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
