Final Assembly Operative Location: Denham Salary: £35,500 per annum Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00-17:00 / Friday: 08:00-12:00 A well-established and highly stable manufacturing business with full order books secured for the next 10+ years is looking to recruit a mechanically biased Assembly Operative into its Final Assembly team on a permanent basis. The role Reporting to the Cell Leader, the Assembly Operative will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of precision-engineered components and sub-assemblies to detailed technical and quality standards. The role is hands-on and suited to candidates with a strong mechanical background rather than an electrical bias. Duties will include: Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, technical specifications and kits of parts Use of hand tools, torque equipment and associated tooling Carrying out self-inspection, stage inspection and final certification of assembled components Identifying and applying correct part numbers, drawing issues and surface finishes Recording work in progress and component traceability using shop floor systems Adhering to quality, health and safety, FOD and ESD procedures Supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and tool control Candidate requirements: This role is mechanically biased. Candidates with a primarily electrical background are unlikely to be suitable.
