Finance Director

Finance Director Northamptonshire - remote/flexible Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 (depending on experience) Viqu Energy are partnering with a fast-growing Industrial and Commercial EPC business delivering complex infrastructure and renewable energy projects. With a strong pipeline of larger-scale projects and ambitious growth plans, they are entering an exciting new phase of expansion and are looking for a brilliant Finance Director to join them on the journey. The Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Director to join a growing EPC's leadership team. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the financial strategy of the business as they scale, ensuring robust financial controls while supporting growth into larger, more complex projects. You will act as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team, providing insight, challenge, and direction on all financial matters. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership * Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives * Support business scaling, including entry into larger EPC and renewable projects * Provide commercial insight on project viability, risk, and profitability Financial Management & Reporting * Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management * Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the board and stakeholders * Maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks Project & Commercial Finance * Lead financial oversight of large-scale construction and renewables projects * Implement robust project costing, margin tracking, and risk management processes * Partner with operational teams to drive project performance and profitability Growth & Scaling * Build scalable financial systems, processes, and teams to support growth * Lead on financial due diligence for new opportunities Leadership & Culture * Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and low-ego culture * Act as a trusted advisor across the business Experience * Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader within Construction, EPC, or Renewables * Demonstrated success in scaling a business through a growth phase * Strong experience managing finances for large, complex projects * Experience with project-based accounting and long-term contract management * Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills * Thrives in a laid-back, non-corporate environment * Willing to roll up sleeves and get involved where needed Why is this the opportunity for you? * Opportunity to play a key role in scaling a high-growth EPC and renewables business. * Exposure to large, impactful infrastructure and energy projects. * Work within a supportive, down-to-earth leadership team. * Real influence on the direction and success of the company Sound good?
