Financial Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Controller to lead the finance function across a multi-company manufacturing business. Managing a small team, you will ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
* Office based role
* Lead all accounting, reporting, forecasting and month-end processes
* Produce management accounts, board reports and financial analysis
* Manage cash flow, payroll, VAT returns and year-end accounts
* Liaise with auditors, HMRC and regulatory bodies
* Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, credit control and reconciliations
* Manage multi-currency ledgers, journals and fixed assets
* Prepare R&D tax claims and support Patent Box requirements
* Calculate bonus and commission payments
* Work closely with operational teams and Sage Manufacturing systems
* Lead and develop the finance team
Requirements
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
* Minimum 10 years' finance leadership experience
* Manufacturing sector background essential
* Strong management accounting and reporting expertise
* Advanced Excel skills; Sage 200 Manufacturing desirable
* Knowledge of R&D tax claims and Patent Box advantageous
