Apply NowWe are pleased to be working with a household name on the outskirts of Reading who are seeking a qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge across financial reporting, controls and compliance. They offer superb benefits as well as hybrid working, typically two days a week, and a 35 hour working week.
Responsibilities:
Producing statutory and consolidated financial reports
Providing sound technical expertise on all accounting, VAT, and tax matters
Managing monthly balance sheet reviews while enhancing controls and processes
Preparing and submitting VAT returns, corporation tax declarations, and other statutory submissions
Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met
Producing short and long-term cash flow forecasts
Requirements:
Proven experience in statutory reporting
Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP
Practical experience across VAT and tax
Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement
