Fire Alarm Engineer
M Pro Recruitment is currently working with a well-established fire and life safety company based in Crawley, who are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to cover London and the surrounding Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, multi-disciplined engineer with strong experience in fire alarm installation, commissioning, and servicing, particularly those familiar with Gent, Notifier, and similar systems. The Role As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and installation work across a varied customer base, including retail units, office blocks, and commercial premises. Key responsibilities include: * Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems * Fault finding and reactive repairs across a range of systems * Completing small works, modifications, and system upgrades * Commissioning fire alarm systems to British Standards * Opportunity to work on larger installation projects for engineers looking to further develop their installation experience * Providing a professional and customer-focused service within a defined area * Ensuring all work is carried out in line with BS5839, Health & Safety legislation, and company procedures The Ideal Candidate * Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire alarm installation, commissioning, and/or maintenance * FIA Installation & Maintenance Modules (essential) * Experience with open and closed protocol fire alarm systems * Strong knowledge of panels such as Gent, Notifier, or equivalent * Understanding of electrical design with fire alarm elements * Working knowledge of BS5839 and current Health & Safety regulations * Ability to work to time-sensitive deadlines * Strong fault-finding skills with excellent attention to detail * Full UK driving licence Additional Information This role primarily services London and surrounding areas. Candidates with a multi-skilled background across installation, commissioning, servicing, and small works within the fire industry will be highly advantageous
