A growing and forward-thinking consultancy is seeking a Fire Safety Consultant to join their expanding team.

This Fire Safety Consultant opportunity offers the chance to work across a wide range of sectors, delivering tailored fire safety solutions while supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their buildings.

The Fire Safety Consultant will play a key role in providing high-quality assessments, technical advice, and compliant reporting.

The Fire Safety Consultant's Role

The Fire Safety Consultant will be responsible for carrying out fire risk assessments across a diverse portfolio, including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, retail, and industrial properties. The Fire Safety Consultant will combine technical expertise with strong client engagement to deliver clear, practical, and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting Fire Risk Assessments, including pre-occupation and standard assessments
Undertaking External Wall Assessments where qualified
Producing clear, detailed, and compliant technical reports
Providing pragmatic fire safety advice tailored to client needs
Liaising with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery
Keeping up to date with fire safety legislation, standards, and best practice
Participating in CPD and ongoing professional development
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and health and safety requirementsThe Fire Safety Consultant

The ideal Fire Safety Consultant will be technically strong, client-focused, and committed to delivering high standards. The Fire Safety Consultant will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements include:

Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor qualification (Level 3 considered if working towards Level 4)
Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
A minimum of 4 years' experience delivering Fire Risk Assessments
Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and current industry standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and analytical abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Full UK driving licenceIn Return?
