Looking for your next step in education? We’re working in partnership with a well established Multi Academy Trust in York to recruit a part time Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils and keen to gain hands on classroom experience in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The Role 📚
You’ll support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, while providing additional support to pupils to help them thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities ✏️
• Support the teacher with lesson delivery
• Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Assist with classroom behaviour management
• Prepare and organise learning resources
• Promote pupils’ academic progress and social development
• Get involved in wider school activities and training
What We’re Looking For ✅
• Experience working with children or within a school setting is desirable
• A positive, proactive mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
