Flt Counterbalance Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Truck Driver to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely within this production facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and materials management.

Responsibilities

* Operate vehicles to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.

* Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks within the warehouse environment.

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

* Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and report any mechanical issues for repair.

* Perform basic equipment repairs as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.

* Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.

* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a forklift truck role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.

* Own transport due to location of business

* Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including materials handling techniques.

* Experience operating forklifts is highly desirable.

* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices.

* Basic maths skills for accurate record keeping and inventory management.

* A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.

* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
