Food Production Operative

Job Title: Experienced Food Production Operative (Temp to Perm) Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Job Overview We are currently recruiting experienced Food Production Operatives to join a well-established and fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable candidates looking for long-term work. Due to the nature of the role and production environment, applicants must have a minimum of 1 year’s previous experience working in food production or food manufacturing. This position involves working a rotating shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off followed by 4 nights on, 4 nights off, so candidates must be comfortable working both day and night shifts. Key Responsibilities * Working on a fast-paced food production line preparing and packing food products * Operating production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently * Following strict food safety, hygiene, and quality control procedures * Weighing, labelling, and packaging products according to company specifications * Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure products meet required standards * Maintaining a clean and organised work area in line with HACCP and food safety regulations * Supporting the production team in meeting daily output targets * Adhering to all company health and safety policies Essential Requirements * Minimum 1 year’s proven experience working in a food production or food manufacturing environment * Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate * Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting * Good understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures * Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance * Able to work effectively as part of a team * Flexible to work the 4 on 4 off day and night rotating shift pattern Desirable * Previous experience working with chilled or fresh food products * Experience operating production or packing machinery
