Food Technology Teacher
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire students to develop essential cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and a love for food. The role will involve teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons with a strong practical focus
Teach key concepts including nutrition, food safety, and preparation techniques
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen/classroom environment
Contribute to the wider Design & Technology departmentRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Specialism or experience in Food Technology or a related subject
Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
A passion for practical learning and student developmentAll candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check. Any interviews we hold will be conducted over a Teams call.
