Forklift Driver Contract Type: Temporary – Contract until the end of this year, with potential for extension and possible permanent employment Pay: £13.49 per hour Reporting to: Warehouse Team Lead Closing Date: Ongoing Working Hours Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:15 Friday: 07:30 – 15:00 Breaks: 2 × 15-minute paid breaks per shift 1 × 30-minute unpaid break per shift Flexibility required to support additional hours during the week and at weekends when needed. Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to support operations within the CMB Stores. This role is initially on a temporary basis until the end of the year. There is potential for extension and possible permanent employment; however, this is not guaranteed. Please refer to the attached advert for further details. Main Responsibilities Work safely in full compliance with site Health & Safety requirements Take responsibility for own safety and the safety of others Adhere to Safety Systems and Site PSMS (Personnel Safety Management Systems) Pick materials for issue to site Store materials in racking and shelving locations Load and unload materials using a forklift truck Deliver materials to site via van or forklift Monitor the warehouse service counter Receive and receipt goods deliveries Enter data into the Warehouse Management System (SAP) and spreadsheets Dispatch materials as required Participate in an on-call rota for site emergency material requests Support additional hours when required to meet customer needs Respond to ad hoc tasks and requests from management Skills & Experience Required Applicants should be able to demonstrate: Good numeracy, literacy, communication skills, and attention to detail IT literacy (training provided where appropriate) Forklift truck experience (training provided where appropriate) Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and as part of a team Ability to take initiative while knowing when to seek guidance To apply for this role, please apply or call Paul in our Southampton office today
