Responsibilities
As a Forklift Driver, your primary responsibilities will include:
Operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
Ensuring the accurate placement and storage of goods within the warehouse or designated areas.
Conducting routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational safety.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Assisting with general warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and stock checks.
Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
A valid external forklift licence (essential).
Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to forklift operations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day as a Forklift Driver will involve:
Inspecting your forklift at the start of your shift to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles or storage areas.
Transporting materials to designated locations within the facility.
Keeping accurate records of inventory movements and reporting any discrepancies.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
