Freelance Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a well-established regional contractor based in the North West, is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a £10 million industrial unit development. Working as part of a professional site and commercial team, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities * Commercial management of a £10m industrial unit project * Subcontract procurement and package management * Preparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports * Monitoring project budgets and forecasting * Contract administration under JCT forms of contract * Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders * Supporting the project to ensure delivery within commercial targets Requirements * Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on industrial or commercial construction projects * Experience on projects typically £5m–£10m * Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts * Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management The Opportunity * Freelance role with a reputable regional contractor * Opportunity to work on a £10m industrial scheme * Competitive day rate available * Potential for further project opportunities with the client
