£29.59/hr rising to £38.38/hr after 12 weeks (Inside IR35)
Join a globally recognised automotive OEM’s R&D centre in Essex, working at the forefront of next-generation vehicle technology.
This role sits within a core product development team, supporting the safe delivery of complex systems across powertrain, infotainment and advanced driver features, using MBSE/SysML and aligned to ISO 26262.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver functional safety activities in line with ISO 26262
Model systems, interfaces and behaviours using MBSE/SysML
Support development of safety concepts and system design
Produce technical documentation for audits and programme milestones
Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams
Drive safety by design across advanced technologies
Requirements
Experience working to ISO 26262 in a product development environment
Strong MBSE/SysML capability
Background in software-enabled or complex systems engineering (2+ years)
Strong stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams
Engineering or Computer Science degree (or equivalent)
Desirable
Experience with Cameo, MagicDraw or similar tools
Knowledge of embedded systems or system architecture
Experience in verification, validation or testing
