Furniture Technician Location: Hampshire / Reading / M3 Corridor / South Coast (field-based) Salary: £32,000 + bonus Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm Contract: Permanent, Full-time Key Responsibilities of the Furniture Technician: * Carry out on-site furniture repairs across customer locations, ensuring a high standard of workmanship * Repair and restore a range of furniture including leather, fabric, and wooden items * Complete work such as re-padding, stitching repairs, frame adjustments, and mechanism repairs (including recliners) * Assess furniture damage and determine the most effective repair solution * Provide clear and accurate feedback to customers regarding repair work and outcomes * Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when attending appointments * Manage daily workload independently, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and on time * Ensure all tools, materials, and company equipment are maintained and used correctly * Represent the business in a professional manner at all times while on-site Key Requirements of the Furniture Technician * Proven experience in furniture repair, upholstery, or a similar hands-on trade * Strong skills across leather, fabric, and/or wood repairs * Ability to assess damage and carry out high-quality restoration work * Practical mindset with strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship * Comfortable working independently in a field-based role * Good communication skills with the ability to deal directly with customers * Ability to manage time effectively and organise daily workload * Full UK driving licence * Background in upholstery, carpentry, or similar trade is advantageous Additional Information * Company van provided * Fuel covered * Bonus scheme available * Opportunity to join a growing business with long-term stability
