Danny Sullivan Group is looking for an experienced Ganger to join the M5 Junction 10 Improvements Scheme, a major highway infrastructure project being delivered in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council and National Highways.

Role: Ganger
Location: M5 Junction 10 Improvements Scheme, Gloucestershire
Rate: £21.70 per hour PAYE
Working Pattern: 10 hours per shift
Pay: Weekly
Duration: Long-term / ongoing
About the Role as a Ganger
As a Ganger, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of operatives on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
Your duties will include:
Supervising and coordinating a team of site operatives
Allocating daily tasks and ensuring work is completed to programme
Briefing operatives on daily activities, site requirements and safe working practices
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with RAMS and site procedures
Monitoring productivity, quality and progress of work
Coordinating labour, materials, plant and equipment
Liaising with site management, supervisors and subcontractors
Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the work area
Carrying out regular site inspections and monitoring working practices
Identifying and reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses
Ensuring operatives have the correct training, equipment and PPE
Supporting the delivery of daily site targets and project deadlines
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Valid CSCS Gold Card
Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
Previous experience working as a Ganger or in a supervisory role within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure
Experience supervising and coordinating site operatives
Good understanding of construction methods and site operations
Strong knowledge of construction health & safety procedures
Ability to read and understand RAMS and method statements
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to organise workloads and manage site teams effectively
Reliable and punctual approach to workExperience working on major highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
