Senior Garment Technologist / Garment Technologist – Ladieswear (Jersey Cut & Sew) Location: Hybrid Working (Core Office Days: Wednesday & Thursday) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience) A leading and well-established fashion supplier is seeking an experienced Senior Garment Technologist / Garment Technologist to join its dynamic technical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with major supermarket retailers across ladieswear and selected childrenswear ranges, specialising in jersey cut & sew products. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality, fit, and compliance from development through to production, working closely with design, sourcing, and manufacturing partners. Key Responsibilities * Manage the garment technology process from development to bulk production for ladieswear and some childrenswear ranges. * Provide technical expertise across jersey cut & sew product categories. * Lead fit sessions, assess samples, and provide clear technical comments to suppliers. * Create and manage technical workbooks and specifications. * Ensure garments meet required quality, performance, and safety standards. * Approve size specifications, grading, and construction methods. * Work closely with design and product teams to maintain brand standards and commercial viability. * Liaise directly with offshore factories, particularly in Cambodia and Bangladesh. * Support critical path management to ensure key deadlines are achieved. * Resolve technical and production issues proactively. * Ensure compliance with retailer requirements and industry regulations. Key Requirements * Proven experience in a Garment Technologist or Senior Garment Technologist role within a fashion supplier or retailer. * Strong technical knowledge of jersey cut & sew construction and manufacturing. * Experience working with supermarket customers. * Experience across ladieswear and ideally childrenswear. * Strong workbook and technical specification experience. * Experience working with factories in Cambodia and Bangladesh. * Excellent understanding of garment fit, grading, and construction. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. * Highly organised with strong attention to detail. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
