General Manager

The General Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a leading logistics provider within a key customer location. Client Details Our client is a leading provider of logistics services. Description The General Manager will be based at our client's DC in London and will report in to the Operations Director. You will be responsible for managing and leading a large team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across all operations. Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet service and delivery expectations. Analyse performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management. Lead site growth through collaborative customer partnerships Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Manage budgets and resources to achieve financial and operational goals Profile The successful General Manager will live within a commuting distance of London and be able to demonstrate the following experience: Proven site leadership experience within a fast pace and customer led logistics environment. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on delivering developed and engaged high performing teams. Excellent organisational and decision-making skills to handle complex operations. Strong commercial acumen and a track record in delivering innovative performance improvement. Proficiency in analysing data and creating actionable insights to improve performance. A thorough understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements in logistics. The ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Job Offer An attractive reward package will be offered to the successful candidate and will include: Competitive salary ranging from £90,000 to £110,000 per annum.
