General Teaching Assistant | Year 3 – Blackpool Humly is recruiting a General Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role starting ASAP and continuing until 17 July 2026. Initially offered for half a term, this role may continue through to the end of the academic year. It would suit a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting Key Stage 2 pupils and contributing positively to classroom learning and pupil wellbeing. What You’ll Be Doing * Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons * Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning in English, Maths and across the wider curriculum * Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation of learning resources * Supporting pupils with varying abilities to access the curriculum * Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining clear classroom routines * Helping to create a safe, nurturing and well-organised learning environment What You’ll Bring * Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting * Confidence supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally within Year 3 * Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff * A proactive, adaptable approach to supporting learning * Good behaviour management skills and a calm, patient manner * A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within schools Pay £13.70 – £14.95 per hour Additional Benefits * Weekly pay and access to roles via the Humly app * FREE Safeguarding, Prevent & Child Protection training * Ongoing support from our experienced North West team * The most downloaded supply app in the UK * £100 Refer-a-Friend bonus once your referral completes their first assignment Important Information Full-time, Monday to Friday Start date: ASAP Primary school-based position Enhanced DBS required (If required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator) Safeguarding & Rehabilitation of Offenders Act Humly is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
